Russian Proposal to Solve Iran’s Uranium Deadlock Amid Tehran’s Refusal and Trump’s Drilling Plans

 Russia has intervened in the nuclear standoff between Washington and Tehran, with Rosatom head Alexey Likhachev expressing readiness to facilitate the removal of enriched uranium from Iran. This follows President Trump's announcement of plans to use "massive machinery" to extract what he calls "nuclear dust" from bombed facilities and transport it to the U.S., while explicitly denying any financial compensation to Iran.

Tehran responded sharply, with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei calling the enriched uranium a "sovereign asset" that will not leave the country under any circumstances. Consequently, Iran informed Pakistani mediators of its refusal to hold new talks with the U.S., citing Trump’s naval blockade threats and what it deemed "exaggerated American demands."
