Qaani from Baghdad: Choosing the Prime Minister is an Internal Affair; Iraq is Too Great for Foreign Interference

Quds Force Commander Esmail Qaani emphasized during his visit to Baghdad today, Monday, that forming the Iraqi government is an exclusive right of the Iraqi people. Qaani expressed the Islamic Republic of Iran's appreciation for Iraq's responsible stances, stressing that electing a Prime Minister is a purely sovereign decision. He stated that Iraq possesses enough insight and authority to remain resistant to the interference of "criminals against humanity," praising the spirit of resistance and loyalty that Iraqis derive from the school of Imams Hussain and Abbas (PBUT).
