Pezeshkian emphasizes regional diplomacy role preventing escalation

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that regional diplomacy must contribute to preventing escalation and maintaining dialogue. The remarks came following his return from a visit to Turkmenistan, where he participated in an exceptional environmental summit for the heads of states bordering the Caspian Sea. Pezeshkian noted in a post on the X platform that regional diplomacy should not be limited to mere meetings, but rather serve as a true tool for crisis management, sustaining dialogue, preventing escalation, and advancing practical cooperation.
