Parliamentary Finance Committee Completes 2012-2015 Final Accounts, Submits to Parliament Presidency
The Parliamentary Finance Committee announced on Wednesday its completion of the final accounts draft laws for the years 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. The committee submitted these accounts to the Presidency of the Council of Representatives for inclusion in upcoming session agendas, following their majority approval within the committee. The committee affirmed this step significantly enhances financial oversight, transparency, and public fund protection. It also urged the Council of Ministers to expedite the completion and approval of final accounts for 2016 through 2025, sending them to Parliament to end delays and complete public spending oversight. The committee stressed that approving these accounts does not waive or overlook any violation or transgression noted in the Supreme Audit Institution's reports. It confirmed all observations remain subject to legal follow-up and accountability.
