A statement from Al-Sudani's office indicated that Abbas praised in his letter dated October 26, 2026, in Ramallah, Al-Sudani's genuine patriotic positions and his continuous support for the Palestinian people's fight for freedom, independence, and the establishment of their independent state on their land with Jerusalem as its capital. The Palestinian president concluded by expressing hope to continue joint work and enhance cooperation and coordination between the two countries to serve the interests of both peoples and support efforts aimed at ending the occupation and achieving a just peace based on international legitimacy resolutions.
