Official statement regarding employee salaries
The Parliamentary Finance Committee affirmed on Tuesday that employee salaries are fully secured. Committee member Ikhlas Al-Dulaimi stated in a press interview with the official agency that the intensive meetings held by Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi in New York may pave the way for a breakthrough in certain financial files. She explained that the United States allowed oil to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, but Iran has not permitted it so far. She added that employee salaries are secured, and there is a reserve inside the Central Bank to fund any potential deficit, noting that the country's economic situation regarding oil sales has begun to improve. She pointed out that oil export rates are good, despite companies taking oil from the government, exporting it at their own risk, and bearing export consequences in case of hazards, while deducting between 15 and 30 dollars per barrel.
