MP Affirms Lack of Funds for Employee Allowances and Promotions

MP Ahmed Al-Sharmani confirmed on Tuesday the current lack of sufficient financial cover for employee allowances and promotions. In a social media post, Al-Sharmani stated the country faces a difficult and challenging financial situation, noting the negative economic effects of the recent war have yet to fully emerge. He highlighted that the available cash currently does not exceed half a trillion dinars, whereas monthly state employee salaries require approximately 8 trillion dinars. He reiterated the absence of financial backing for such allowances and promotions at this time.
