Ministry of Trade Ensures Grain Stocks Protected from Rain and Heat

The Ministry of Trade announced on Friday the completion of preparations for grain storage facilities across the country in anticipation of the rainy season. Hayder Nouri Al-Karawi, Director General of the General Company for Grain Trade at the ministry, stated that since mid-September, the company has been organizing all storage sites, including silos and warehouses spread throughout the country, ensuring all stored quantities are fully covered. He added that any rainfall during the current year will not affect the grain reserves, as the situation is fully controlled, noting that these measures have been implemented for four years prior to the rainy season, with operations proceeding smoothly. Al-Karawi confirmed that the stock is fully protected and will not be impacted by either rain or temperature, emphasizing that the condition is very stable and the reserves are completely secured.
