Ministry Labor launching social protection aid batch June month

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced today, Sunday, the launching of the social protection aid batch for the month of June for more than two million families.


The ministry stated in a statement that the social protection aid batch for June 2026 was released ahead of its usual schedule, coinciding with the approaching Eid al-Adha, in a step aimed at supporting families covered by social care and alleviating their living burdens, enabling them to meet Eid requirements and enhance their living stability.


The head of the Social Protection Commission, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, explained - according to the statement - that the batch included approximately two million and 53 thousand families in Baghdad and the provinces, excluding the Kurdistan Region, with a total amount exceeding 440 billion Iraqi dinars, confirming the ministry's continuation in securing financial aid for beneficiary families within the approved social protection programs.


Al-Moussawi added that the number of families headed by men reached more than one million and 487 thousand families, with a total amount exceeding 355 billion dinars, while the number of families headed by women reached more than 565 thousand families, with an amount exceeding 84 billion Iraqi dinars, reflecting the volume of government support directed to the neediest groups.


The head of the Social Protection Commission called on the covered families to visit the approved disbursement outlets to receive their allocated aid, noting that the commission has taken all necessary measures to ensure the smoothness of disbursement operations and the arrival of support to its beneficiaries easily and smoothly, contributing to enhancing the living stability of vulnerable groups.
