IRGC: Strait of Hormuz Closed to Uncoordinated Ships

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced today, Friday, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to all vessels intending passage without prior coordination with Tehran. The IRGC Navy affirmed, in a statement, that US statements on the Strait remaining open are "a lie aimed at controlling oil prices." It emphasized this approach will persist until Washington ceases its hostile actions and fulfills its commitments to the Islamic Republic.
