IRGC Intercepts Indian Vessels and Forces Them Out of Hormuz Under Fire

 TankerTrackers reported that the IRGC Navy forced two Indian vessels to turn back and exit the Strait of Hormuz. The incident involved direct gunfire and targeted a VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) flying the Indian flag, which was carrying two million barrels of Iraqi oil. This marks a significant field escalation in the strategic waterway.

The interception occurred on the tenth day of the US-Iran truce, coinciding with an announcement by Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters to re-close the strait and return to strict oversight. Tehran asserted that the waterway will remain under direct military administration, placing recent maritime navigation understandings at risk and threatening global energy flows once again.
