Iraqis Rank Third Among Top Visitors to Turkey Last July

Citizens of Iraq ranked third among the nationalities visiting Turkey most frequently during July 2026. Data released by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism showed that Iran topped the list of visitors with 322,256 visitors, followed by Saudi Arabia with 191,125 visitors, while Iraq secured third place with 131,607 visitors. The data indicated an increase in the share of Iraqi visitors from the total arrivals to Turkey, reaching 1.85% in July 2026, compared to 1.70% in the same month of 2025 and 1.53% in July 2024. The number of Iraqi visitors recorded an 8.59% increase compared to 121,191 visitors in July 2025. The number of Iranian visitors saw an increase of 27.11% year-on-year, while the number of Saudi visitors decreased by 3.97% during the same period. At the Asian continent level, the total number of visitors to Turkey reached 1.039 million in July 2026, marking a 10.42% increase compared to July 2025.
