Iraqi PM Stresses Importance of Boosting Trade, Economic Cooperation with Turkey

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi emphasized on Thursday the importance of enhancing trade and economic exchange with the Republic of Turkey. Al-Zaidi received the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, during which they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to advance them and expand the horizons of partnership to serve their mutual interests. According to a statement issued by his office, Al-Zaidi pointed out the necessity of strengthening trade and economic exchange and opening new investment opportunities, with the aim of supporting joint capabilities to confront current economic challenges. He also stressed the importance of coordinating positions regarding efforts to achieve stability and de-escalation in the region, and preventing the expansion of conflicts and wars.
