Iran's Security Chief Stresses Vision for Independent, Strong Iraq

Mohsen Rezaee, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, affirmed on Tuesday that Tehran desires to see an independent and strongly sovereign Iraq. These statements were made during Rezaee's meeting with the head of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zidan, in the Iranian capital, Tehran. Rezaee emphasized that the nations and peoples of the region possess the full ability to shape their own future, free from any external interference. He also added that the issue of anti-Iran groups, which are based on the common border between the two countries, requires a definitive and decisive resolution.
