Iranian Official: Washington in Quandary, Continues Messaging Through Mediators

A senior Iranian diplomatic official affirmed today, Friday, that the United States is in a "quandary," considering its targeting of vital infrastructure in Iran a reflection of helplessness and an act of "war crimes." He indicated that Tehran has not closed the door to diplomacy, and the exchange of messages with Washington continues through mediators. The Iranian official held Washington responsible for the current crisis, attributing it to the non-compliance with its commitments from the Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 17. He stressed that Iran remains open to diplomatic channels despite ongoing tensions and escalation between the two sides. Meanwhile, American diplomatic and military sources revealed earlier that Washington completed arrangements on Thursday evening to expand its operations against Iran around the clock. This move aims to intensify the pursuit of Revolutionary Guard units during missile transport and the reactivation of military energy networks, thereby restricting Tehran's ability to re-equip sites damaged by recent strikes. A US military source in the Air Operations Division at Central Command stated that the arrangements for the next 48 hours include extending the deployment of bombers, fighters, and refueling aircraft, alongside increasing reconnaissance over missile transport routes and Guard supply facilities.
