Iran Achieves Significant Oil Exports During Truce Period and Blockade Lift

Analyses and data from informed sources indicate Iran sold an estimated 70 million barrels of oil, generating revenues nearing $5 to $6 billion, during a one-month period coinciding with a ceasefire and the lifting of the US naval blockade on its ports. Based on analysts and data from "United Against Nuclear Iran" (UANI), estimates suggest Tehran exported this significant oil volume, benefiting from Washington's relaxed export restrictions. This period, valued at an estimated $5 to $6 billion, spanned from mid-June to mid-July. Reports suggest this timeframe allowed Tehran to build valuable financial reserves before the United States reimposed its restrictive measures. The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced in June that American forces, under then-President Donald Trump's order, lifted the naval blockade on Iran's ports and coastal areas. Shortly after, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed Washington's lifting of Iranian oil export restrictions, the release of several assets, and the launch of a reconstruction plan for Iran. In July, Trump stated no regret for lifting the blockade, justifying it as an opportunity for Tehran to conclude a deal.
