Integrity Commission: Regular Tanker Arrivals Ensure Continuous Fuel Supply in Baghdad

The Integrity Commission announced on Friday the continuation of supply operations at fuel stations, affirming that this follows directives issued by the Prime Minister. A statement from the Commission indicated that "field teams have been formed to monitor the fuel supply process at filling stations and oversee distribution mechanisms. This aims to prevent smuggling and ensure petroleum products reach citizens, as part of the measures taken to address the gasoline crisis and maintain smooth supply." The Commission affirmed that "teams comprised of personnel from the Departments of Prevention and Investigations began, this afternoon, conducting surprise field visits to several fuel filling stations across both Karkh and Rusafa sides of Baghdad." It clarified that "these visits aim to review gasoline supply procedures, match the quantities of fuel supplied from the Oil Products Distribution Company's depots with the quantities dispensed to citizens. Furthermore, they monitor storage and distribution mechanisms, and verify the absence of any cases of smuggling or manipulation." The Commission's statement added that "field teams observed that supply operations, especially following the Prime Minister's directives, are continuing smoothly in the visited stations, including Al-Saydiya station. A greater demand for improved gasoline was recorded compared to regular gasoline, with tankers continuously supplying stations with the product at regular rates. While some relative congestion was noted at the improved gasoline dispensing outlets, the workflow and fuel supply to citizens remained uninterrupted."
