IMF Revises Down Global Economic Growth Projections Once More

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Wednesday once again lowered its forecasts for global economic growth, indicating that advances in artificial intelligence could partially mitigate the repercussions of the conflict in the Middle East. According to the latest update to the World Economic Outlook report, the Fund expects economies to achieve an average growth of 3% this year, which is a 0.1% reduction from its previous projections issued in April. This assessment was made prior to recent developments, including the resumption of reciprocal strikes between the United States and Iran, and U.S. President Donald Trump's statement that a ceasefire agreement with Tehran had ended.
