Houthis Claim Missile, Drone Strikes Targeted Riyadh and Yanbu Aramco Facility

The Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) announced on Saturday that it carried out two "qualitative military operations" using a large number of ballistic and winged missiles and drones, targeting the Saudi capital Riyadh and the city of Yanbu. The movement's military spokesperson, Yahya Saree', clarified that the first operation focused on sensitive targets in Riyadh, while the second operation targeted the Aramco company in Yanbu. Saree' confirmed that both operations were successful and resulted in large fires breaking out in the targeted locations. Saree' explained that these attacks came in response to what he described as the "criminal Saudi enemy's" continued launching of aggressive air raids with its F15 and Typhoon warplanes, taking off from Khamis Mushait and Taif bases. He noted that these raids have so far amounted to 732 airstrikes, causing civilian casualties and injuries, and destruction of civilian infrastructure. The spokesperson added that the operations also represent a response to the "criminal Saudi enemy's" attempts to target the capital Sana'a with what he termed "Daesh-like methods," through bombing attempts targeting civilians without discrimination or exception. Saree' denied Saudi media claims about their targeting of civilians, indicating that any incidents that might occur are a result of failed interceptions by Saudi defenses. He affirmed the continued commitment of what he called the "Yemeni Armed Forces" to implement the equation of "siege for siege and escalation for escalation," and targeting Saudi aggregations until the aggression is stopped and the siege on their country is lifted.
