Government moves to boost oil revenues and assigns senior official to production ملف

Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi issued decisive directives today, Sunday, to the Ministry of Oil to implement government programs aimed at raising production capacity, while affirming the executive authority's determination to take practical steps to maximize financial gains from the oil sector. It is worth noting that Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi conducted a field visit today, Sunday, to the headquarters of the Ministry of Oil in the capital, Baghdad, which is his second visit to the ministry since the formation of the government five months ago. Al-Zaidi held an expanded meeting that included the ministry's advanced cadre, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, the Ministers of Oil and Electricity, the Head of the Advisory Board, and a number of energy advisors and experts. During the meeting, the Prime Minister praised the efforts exerted by the ministry's staff, stressing the importance of continuing work with high efficiency and responsibility to achieve the planned goals regarding the development of crude production capacities. He pointed out the necessity of maximizing financial revenues, explaining that the state is about to adopt a package of substantial measures and steps in this context, especially after Iraq was negatively affected by the developments and events taking place in the region. He called for overcoming previous gaps and addressing areas of deficiency, noting that there are directives issued to the Integrity Commission to investigate corruption cases that led to the decline and the loss of promising opportunities to upgrade this vital sector. At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided to assign the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs to directly supervise the work of the Ministry of Oil and closely follow up on production affairs and export operations.
