Basra Crude Records Weekly Decline Despite Rise in Final Trading Session

Prices for both Basra Heavy and Medium crude oils recorded weekly losses, despite achieving a rise in their latest trading sessions. Basra Heavy crude's price increased by $1.67 per barrel, or 2.29%, in the last session, closing at $74.52 per barrel. However, it registered a weekly loss of $5.37, equivalent to 7.21%, compared to its price at the beginning of the week, which was $79.89. Similarly, Basra Medium crude rose by $1.67 per barrel, or 2.19%, to close at $77.82 per barrel. This crude, however, suffered a weekly loss of $5.37, or 6.90%, compared to the $83.19 price at which it started the week.
