Araqchi: Iran Victorious in War, Diplomacy; Unconditional Surrender Claim Unfulfilled

Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, affirmed that the "illusion of unconditional surrender" promoted by some did not materialize, emphasizing that his country fought and negotiated with steadfast resolve. Araqchi noted that numerous foreign ministers he met acknowledged Iran's victory in both war and diplomacy. He stated that those advocating for unconditional surrender soon pleaded for negotiations shortly after the war's onset. In contrast, Iran rejected a ceasefire, insisting on continuing the conflict until the opposing party accepted a truce and negotiations based on Tehran's conditions. He stressed that the battlefield proved decisive in asserting Iran's will. Araqchi concluded his remarks by reaffirming Iran's resolute fighting and negotiating. He considered the foreign ministers' acknowledgment of his country's victory a clear message, domestically and internationally, that Iran secured strategic military and political gains from the confrontation.
