Al-Zaidi Receives Royal Invitation to Visit Jordan
Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi today, Wednesday, received an official invitation to visit the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This invitation was extended during Al-Zaidi's meeting with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi at his Washington residence, on the sidelines of his official visit to the United States. Safadi conveyed the formal invitation from King Abdullah II for Al-Zaidi to visit the Kingdom. Discussions centered on enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across economic and developmental sectors. They also addressed advancing the Basra-Aqaba oil pipeline project and completing the joint electricity interconnection, serving both nations' aspirations and interests. The meeting further covered regional and international developments, with an exchange of views on key common concerns. Emphasis was placed on strengthening regional security and stability through diplomatic solutions to conflicts. Minister Safadi conveyed the greetings of Jordan's monarch to the Prime Minister, reaffirming his country's commitment to bolstering partnership and developing Iraq-Jordan relations.
