Al-Hikma Reveals Reason Behind Framework Meeting Delay: Al-Sudani Faces Two Options.. Candidacy or "Compromise"

 Zahra al-Sadr, member of Al-Hikma Movement's political bureau, announced that the first postponement of the Coordination Framework meeting followed an official request from PM Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. Al-Sadr explained that the delay aimed to give Al-Sudani a chance to finalize his position between pursuing a second term or supporting a compromise candidate. She noted that the political scene returned to square one after the Dawa Party denied withdrawing Nouri al-Maliki's candidacy, amid hopes that today's meeting will yield decisive results to end the political vacuum.
